The girl is a nutbasket ....

Which girl?
Nicker of course.
I know she is the baby and the Mama's last baby (I promised Mama that after Nicker she wouldn't have to have any more babies) and cute as a button to boot .... all that not withstanding, she is a nutbasket!

This morning I was out filling the water tank looked over and there she was standing with her two front feet in her feed tub. She'd dumped her hay out of the tub and she was standing with her two front feet in the empty tub happily eating her hay off the snow.  Okay.  I'll give her that one - maybe it was easier to stand in the feed tub than it was to change position or move the tub.  Yeah, I'll buy that.

This evening, same story except she turned it around.
Let me explain .... Hay went on the snow again - I'm okay with that and to some degree even understand ... after all, the teeny tiny pieces of alfalfa are easier to get to when they are laid out on the ground as opposed to trying to scoop them up out of a feed tub.  Well wait - it sounded logical till I typed the words and read them back.  Hmmm.

Anyway.  I look over this evening and as I said, hay was on the ground - okay, following the same pattern as this morning.  Makes sense.  And then I look again and realize she is halfway standing in the feed tub.  Really Nicker?  It was easier to get your foot in the feed tub than it was to move around the tub?  Evidently it was.  It gets better .....
She started with one foot in the tub.

And before you know it ... two feet in the tub and halfway standing on the rim.
Really Nicker? Nutbasket!!

And in yet another example of Nicker 'nutbasketness' she does her best to - well perhaps I'd better let the pictures tell the story.

We'd just broken through a multi day stretch of below freezing daytime temperatures.  Shadow was enjoying the sunshine and what in comparison to the preceeding days, were warmer temperatures, although it was still a bit chilly for my taste.  Anyway, Shadow is relaxing and trying to make the most of the sunshine and warmer weather - and along comes Nicker.

Whatcha doin' Shadow?  Are you sleepin'?

Wanna play?

Come on Shadow .... get up!!  We can play.

Fine then, if you won't play with me I guess I'll leave......

I'm right here if you change your mind .....

That's the girl .... Nicker - cute as a button and resident Nutbasket
